2006 Knoydart, UK
After Inverness we took bus to Ft. Williams, then the train to Mallaig which was the starting point of a week of hiking on the Knoydart peninsula and nearby islands.
Mallaig is the end of the rail line from Fort Williams.
The trestles on this rail line are featured in the Harry Potter movies and the Harry Potter train is run on this line. It was fully booked while we were there so we rode the rail line but not the Harry Potter train.
