2006 UK Trip
In 2006 we spent a month traveling around the UK. We flew into London and took the train to Aberdeen. Then rented a car and to spend the first week spent looking at Castles around Alford and shoreline from Aberdeen to Inverness followed by Bus to Fort Williams, Train to Mallaig and Boat to the Doune Lodge on the Knoydart Peninsula. The second week was spent on day hikes on the Knoydart Peninsula and nearby islands of Rum, Eigg and Skye. The third week we traveled south by train through Glasglow, met Bruce's family for several days on a Narrow Boat traveling from Burnley to Wiggin on the Leeds & Liverpool Canal, then by train arriving for a visit with Lee's Cousin Charlie in Reading. From Reading we did day trips into London, Bath and Warwick.
