This is a digitally manipulated photograph of the marshy pond at the end of the Stuart's Wharf trail at Caledon, taken in mid May. The downed tree all, weathered and gray, backed by the blooming irises made a nice composition. Converting it to a fake colored pencil skedtch emphasized the "textures" of the vegetation around the dead wood.
